Alfie's
Letter
You
are here: ADHD Foundation
- Parents & Carers - Alfie's
Letter
Dear
Parent,
I
am a sixteen year old boy. I had quite a late diagnosis of ADHD,
and things at home were really bad.
I
couldn't get on with my Mum, I didn't like going to school,
I hung around with the wrong crowd and started getting into
trouble with the Police.
When
my Mum went on a course to understand ADHD, things slowly started
to get better. I then went on a course to learn how to understand
and manage myself, and it really helped me.
If
my Mum and me didn't understand about ADHD, we would still be
in the same position we were in, or maybe worse.
I
volunteer some of my time now to work for ADHD
Foundation and I would ask you
to give the course a chance because it really does help.
Best
wishes,
Alfie
