Welcome
Parents & Carers
You
are here: ADHD Foundation
- Parents & Carers
Are
you a parent or carer of a child with ADHD?
Families
can be isolated and stigmatised and we provide an opportunity
for parents to learn about and understand ADHD.
Parents
are empowered and progress from beneficiaries to service providers,
becoming involved in the design and delivery of services and thereby
reaching new families.
We have a range
of accredited and non-accredited learning packages for parents.
Service users progress to become volunteers and, on occasions,
may progress to become stafff, using their knowledge, skills and
experience to deliver a quality service.
In
the parents and carers section you will find:
Carers and
Wellbeing programmes
We also have programmes around wellbeing
for parents. An informal group where parents can come together
and discuss their children and also receive holistic therapies,
information about nutrition and health and information from other
agencies about benefits and other support available. Contact
us for details.
