What is included?

ADHD Rating Scales:

Before your appointment, you will be sent the following:

  • ASRS-v1.1 Symptom Checklist

  • Adult ADHD-RS-IV with Adult Prompts*

  • Health Checklist

These tools help us understand your symptoms and overall health in advance of your assessment.

In-Person Assessment Appointment:

The in-person assessment involves a QbTest followed by an ACE Interview and takes approximately two hours to complete. When you arrive at the clinic, a member of our team will greet you and guide you through the process. You will begin with the QbTest, which is carried out in a private testing room - family members, friends or partners are not permitted during this part of the appointment.

Once the QbTest is complete, you’ll be given a short break before starting the ACE Interview. We use Professor Susan Young's ACE interview to help provide more context around how ADHD is impacting your life. The interview is tailored specifically to you. If you would like a family member or partner to be present at this stage, they are welcome to join. The interview can take up to one hour.

Remote Assessment Appointment:

The remote assessment includes a QbCheck and interview, and is conducted online. If you selected this option on your referral form, your appointment will be conducted online. We will call you at the start of your appointment to start the QbCheck. Similarly to the QbTest, the QbCheck is just for you, and family members, friends or partners should not be present while you complete it.

After the QbCheck, there will be a short break before the ACE Interview begins. This interview will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, and as with the in-person option, a partner or family member can be present during this part if you choose.

Results:

You will receive your results within one to two weeks after your appointment. These can be sent to any other agency or healthcare provider of your choice. If your pre-screen results are supportive of an ADHD diagnosis and you would like to formalise it, we can begin the process of referring you to our Associate Psychiatrist.

Please note that all rating scales MUST be returned before the final results report can be completed.

Ages 6–17

Full ADHD Screen: £450

QbTest Only: £300

This must be paid before any appointments can be booked. If this is something you are interested in pursuing, please complete the online referral form.

What is included?

ADHD Rating Scales: For people aged 6 to 17, prior to the appointment ADHD rating scales will be sent. It is your responsibility to contact the school and get them to complete the school rating scales. Please note, we cannot refer to Dr Nawaz without school rating scales. All rating scales MUST be returned before the final results report can be completed.

In-Person Assessment Appointment (Ages 6–17):

The in-person assessment includes a QbTest and an ACE Interview, and the appointment will take approximately two hours. This appointment is for your child, so please ensure they attend with you. Upon arrival, your child will be greeted by a member of the team and will begin by completing the QbTest. Please note that parents and carers are not permitted in the QbTest room while the test is taking place.

Once the QbTest is complete, your child will have the opportunity for a short break before the ACE Interview begins. We use Professor Susan Young’s ACE Interview to help provide a deeper understanding of how ADHD may be impacting your child’s life.

For children aged 6 to 15, their attendance during the interview is optional. The questions are specifically designed for the parent or carer, and it can be difficult for the child to sit through this part of the appointment. If you would prefer your child not to be present during the interview, we recommend bringing another adult with you, as we are unable to provide childcare facilities. The interview can take up to one hour.

For young people aged 16 to 17, they are required to participate in the interview. Parent or carer participation is optional and will be at the discretion of the young person.

Remote Assessment Appointment (Ages 16–17 only):

The remote assessment also includes a QbCheck and ACE Interview, and will take approximately two hours in total. If you selected the remote option on the referral form, the young person will receive a call at the start of their appointment to begin the QbCheck. This part of the assessment is for the young person only, and parents or carers should not be present during the QbCheck.

Following the QbCheck, there will be a short break before the ACE Interview begins. This interview will be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams. Parents or carers may attend the interview if the young person wishes—they can decide whether they would like you to be present at this stage.

Results

You will receive your child's results 2 weeks after the appointment and the results will be sent to any other agency or health provider of your choice. If the pre-screen is supportive of ADHD and you would like to have the diagnosis formalised we can start the process of referring the young person to our Associate Paediatrician.

All rating scales MUST be returned before the results report can be completed.
