Student Code of Conduct
We are dedicated to creating a supportive, respectful, and productive learning environment for everyone. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all students participating in our courses and the standards of behaviour we aim to uphold.
Respect and Inclusivity
Respect for All: Treat all participants, including fellow students and tutors, with respect and courtesy always. Engage in conversations and activities in a manner that is supportive and inclusive.
Diversity and Inclusion: Embrace diversity and inclusivity by recognising and valuing differences in background, culture, and perspectives. Strive to understand and appreciate the viewpoints of others.
No Discrimination or Harassment: Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying. This includes, but is not limited to, discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Professionalism
Punctuality: Arrive on time for all sessions and notify tutors in advance if you are unable to attend. You will be advised of the procedure for reporting absence upon enrolment. We expect 80% minimum live attendance on taught material and 100% attendance in action learning sets and/ or practical coaching seminars. This demonstrates your commitment and helps maintain a productive learning environment.
Preparation: Be prepared for each session by completing any required readings, assignments, or preparatory work. Active engagement in the course material enhances the learning experience for everyone.
Active Participation: Participate actively and constructively in directed discussions and activities. Share your insights, ask questions, and support your peers in their learning journey.
Confidentiality
Privacy of Participants: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other participants. Do not share personal information or course content outside of the course without explicit consent.
Use of Video Recordings: Video recordings of sessions generated by the coaching team, are intended for personal review and quality improvement purposes only. These recordings should not be distributed or shared without authorisation outside of the student cohort.
Students are not to generate their own recordings of lecture material. In addition, the course content, inclusive of lecture slides are not to be replicated and/ or used outside of the ADHD Foundation environment. Any attempt to do so, without prior written consent, may be viewed as plagiarism or copyright infringement.
Integrity and Honesty
Academic Integrity: Submit original work for assignments and avoid plagiarism. Properly attribute any sources or references used in your work. Any work that is suspected of being plagiarised from other content, could be subject to review under our academic integrity policy.
Persistent submissions of work that does not adhere to our academic integrity policy and procedures, could lead to expulsion of the student from the course, without a transcription of marks, certificate, and/ or refund.
Honest Communication: Be honest in all communications with instructors and fellow students. If you encounter any difficulties or challenges, communicate them openly and seek support.
Use of Technology
Appropriate Use: Use digital tools and resources provided by the course appropriately and responsibly. Ensure that your use of technology supports and enhances your learning experience.
Minimise Distractions: Avoid anything that will distract you during online sessions, such as using unrelated websites or applications. While it can be challenging, please try to stay focused and engaged in the course activities. We strongly discourage the use of social media or messaging between students regarding lecture content or delivery during the taught content.
Health and Safety
Adherence to Guidelines: Follow any health and safety guidelines provided by the course leaders, particularly for any one off, in-person sessions. This includes adhering to any COVID-19 protocols or other health-related measures.
Well-being: We request you kindly inform instructors of any conditions that may impact your participation or well-being while engaging in course activities. Your health and well-being are important, and we are here to support you.
Online Tutorials and Webinars
Attendance and Participation: Please attend all scheduled online tutorials and webinars.
Actively participate in discussions, breakout sessions, and activities to enhance your learning experience. Breakout room activities are not optional and are used as a learning tool in line with the coaching and mentoring core competencies.
Technical Requirements: Please ensure you have the necessary technical equipment and internet connection to participate in online sessions. If you encounter technical issues, please notify the instructor or coaching team direct.
Recording and Privacy: As previously stated, please do not record sessions. All coaching session will be shared online via our Learning Management Platform, Moodle.
Etiquette: Please maintain a professional demeanour and communication during online sessions. Avoid distractions, mute your microphone when not speaking, and use the chat function appropriately and as directed by the lead lecturer or facilitator.
Consequences of Misconduct
Violations and Disciplinary Action: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, which could include a warning, suspension or exclusion from the course, or other measures deemed appropriate by The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity. We are committed to maintaining a respectful and supportive learning environment for all participants, including our staff team.

Agreement to Adhere: By participating in The ADHD Foundation's coaching course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to adhere to the guidance outlined in this Student Code of Conduct. Your commitment to these standards is essential in creating a positive and effective learning environment.
