A Standout Feature at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025

We are delighted to shine a spotlight on a standout feature of our garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025: a bespoke parasol, specially created for the ADHD Foundation by the celebrated floral designer Simon Lycett.

The Vision of Simon Lycett

Simon Lycett is widely recognised for his imaginative, theatrical floral designs, having created arrangements for royal weddings, state occasions and some of the UK’s most prestigious events. His distinctive style combines bold creativity with a deep understanding of the emotional resonance of flowers.

Design with Meaning

For the ADHD Foundation Garden at this year's Chelsea Flower Show, Simon has designed an extraordinary parasol using naturally dried and preserved Phalaris grasses. Each grass stem has been meticulously hand-wired and arranged in a striking spiral formation, forming umbrella-like clusters that mirror the distinctive shape of our charity’s emblem – the umbrella.

This beautiful piece is more than just a design feature; it’s a symbol. It represents the protective, supportive environment we strive to create for neurodiverse individuals, and speaks to the strength and beauty that can be found in difference.

A Grateful Collaboration

We are immensely grateful to Simon for his generosity, vision, and support of our mission. His contribution has added both elegance and meaning to our garden — helping us share the story of neurodiversity in a way that is both thought-provoking and visually stunning.

You can experience this remarkable installation in the ‘All About Plants’ category at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025. We warmly invite you to visit, and to see for yourself how nature, design and neurodiversity come together to tell a powerful story.
