        ND Counselling Training

        Professional training in a neurodiverse world

        ​​We are part of the Neurodiversity Charity – ADHD Foundation who promote a neurodiverse paradigm in health, education, and employment. Actively supporting strength-based approaches to living successfully with invisible difference.

        Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

        The course is aimed at adult learners with Level 3 Counselling Certification or Equivalent.

        We are committed to provide students with quality training in a safe and supportive environment. The training will enable students to become competent professional practitioners in counselling skills and counselling. Training is in accordance with BACP guidelines and accredited by The Skills & Education Group.

        A two-year part-time qualification providing learners the knowledge, skills, and competencies to work as a therapeutic counsellor in a service context across, health care and non-medical settings. The course philosophy is based on the belief that people will develop in their own time and way for them. A safe and secure environment will develop to allow this to happen. The responsibility for this belongs to the trainer and students. Personal development is threaded throughout course material and students are responsible for developing their own self-awareness. Successful completion of this course means you will be able to provide therapeutic counselling with adult clients.

        A two-year programme starting in September 2022.

        Thursday evenings in term time. In addition: six non-residential weekends.

        • Advanced counselling skills
        • Self-awareness for counsellors
        • Research methodologies in counselling
        • Counselling placement of 100 hours in 2nd year

        The course complies with the Qualifications and Credit Framework Guidelines.

        Assessment is by internal assessment and internal and external moderation.

        The cost of the 2-year course is £3500 if paid in full 7 days in advance of the start date – £1750 per year (inclusive of £150 deposit, and for 2nd year by 1st Dec 2022). Total fees: £3500 are payable. Alternatively, options for direct debit are available.
        Costs apply to courses starting in September 2022. Students are responsible for their own supervision fees. To secure a place on the course, a deposit of £150 should be sent within 7 days of the date of the course acceptance letter.

        On successful completion of the course, you will be qualified as a therapeutic counsellor.

        You may decide to progress onto further learning to enhance the skills and knowledge of a practicing counsellor, or work towards gaining accreditation status with BACP.
